Years of performance experience and work with people, informed by graduate theological studies, are woven together with deep and warmly intimate relationships forming the bedrock of Covington& Covington work. The mix fosters rich and real music. David’s writing bears the marks of a long love of Scripture and its hero, Jesus. Diverse musical styles range from blues to folk to country to classical. Covington & Covington perform for children, for fun, for romance, for worship—for all that might please the King.
David and Sharon settled in rural northern California, where they homesteaded and raised two stellar children. While home-schooling their children, they toured extensively, speaking and singing for churches, schools, and conferences. Always passionate students of the Bible, they headed to seminary to study theology, cultural apologetics, and biblical counseling. Five years and four degrees later, they returned to their Sierra Nevada home where they make music, teach, counsel, and write. They still travel, manage the homestead, and enjoy the delights of a long and merry marriage. They have a daughter and a son, both well married, and eight outrageously wonderful grandchildren.
